EM18 RFID TTL module
The EM18 operates by creating a low-frequency electromagnetic field. When a compatible passive tag (Keyfob or Card) is brought within its range (up to 10cm), the tag is energized and transmits its 12-digit unique ID back to the module. The EM18 then formats this data and sends it out as a serial string.

Why it’s a Security Essential:
• Simple Serial Communication: The module communicates using standard TTL Serial at 9600 baud. This means you can read RFID data using just a single wire (TX) connected to any microcontroller's RX pin, without needing specialized RFID libraries.
• Integrated Antenna: The antenna is already tuned and embedded within the module's casing. This eliminates the risk of signal interference or detuning that often occurs with external "wire-coil" antennas.
• Visual and Audio Indicators: The module features dedicated pins to drive an LED and a Buzzer. When a card is successfully read, the module can automatically trigger these indicators to provide instant user feedback.
• Robust Reading Distance: Depending on the size of the tag, the EM18 can achieve a read distance of up to 10cm, which is superior to many smaller 13.56MHz systems.
