The module is built around the TTP226 IC, a dedicated touch controller that handles all the complex sensing and noise filtering. With 8 independent pads, it is essentially a multi-input keyboard that requires no pressure to activate-just a light touch.

 
Why it’s a Modern Interface Essential:
• Invisible Mounting: You can glue this module to the inside of a plastic project box or behind a glass panel (up to ~3mm thick). The sensor will still detect your finger on the outside, creating a seamless, waterproof interface.
• No Mechanical Wear: With no moving parts, these "buttons" will never get stuck, click loudly, or wear out, making them ideal for high-traffic industrial panels or smart home switches.
• Visual Feedback: Every channel features its own onboard LED indicator. This allows you to verify which "button" is being pressed during testing without needing to check your serial monitor.
• Configurable Modes: The TTP226 chip features "jumper" pads on the PCB that allow you to change how it behaves. You can switch between Direct Mode (output is active only while touching) or Toggle Mode (touch once for ON, touch again for OFF).

• Operating Voltage: 2.4V to 5.5V (Works perfectly with Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi).
• Response Time: Approximately 160ms in low-power mode (standard) or 60ms in fast mode.
• Output Logic: Provides 8 individual digital pins (OUT1 to OUT8). When a pad is touched, the corresponding pin goes HIGH.
