MQ-2 Smoke & Flammable Gas Sensor
The sensor contains a small heating element and an electrochemical sensor made of Tin Dioxide (SnO_2). In clean air, the conductivity is low. When flammable gases or smoke are present, the sensor's conductivity increases in proportion to the gas concentration.

Why it’s a Safety System Essential:
• Multi-Gas Detection: Instead of needing five different sensors, the MQ-2 acts as an all-in-one monitor for common household and industrial hazards like gas leaks (LPG/Methane) and fires (Smoke/CO).
• Dual Output Mode:
* Analog (A0): Provides a continuous voltage that tells you how much gas is present.
* Digital (D0): Acts like a switch. When gas levels cross a certain limit, the pin flips from LOW to HIGH, which can instantly trigger a buzzer or fan.
• Onboard Potentiometer: You can manually adjust the "trip point" for the digital output using a small screwdriver, allowing you to calibrate the sensitivity for your specific room environment.
