MQ-5 LPG & Natural Gas Sensor
The sensor operates using a Tin Dioxide (SnO_2) sensing layer and an internal heater. In clean air, the sensor has low conductivity. When it encounters combustible gas molecules, the chemical reaction on the heated surface releases electrons, increasing conductivity and raising the output voltage.
